If you have reviewed our Donor Catalog and selected a donor and and are ready to buy donor sperm, get started by following the step-by-step instructions below. You must follow all of these steps in order to purchase sperm. You do not need to be registered to access our donor catalog online or seek donor details over the phone. We encourage you to check our donor catalog for a donor matching your criteria before registering. As our donor catalog is small but diverse, recipients will not always be able to purchase vials from their first choice donor. We recommend having backup options available.
The registration process is done by printing and filling out the forms provided online and then sending them back to us via email, mail or fax. The Informed Consent needs to have handwritten initials next to each statement and a wet signature. All other forms can be signed electronically. We can only accept PDF documents via email (not JPEG files). Once all forms are received including the Annual Medical Professional's Signature form, you will be registered within 3 to 5 business days.
Each individual person planning to achieve pregnancy using TSBC sperm needs to register as a TSBC recipient. However, we only charge one registration fee ($100) per family.

- Look at our Donor Catalog and read free profiles and interview notes for each donor. You can also purchase extended profiles and childhood photos (available for most donors) through the catalog.

- How many pregnancies do they have?
- How many vials are available for purchase?
- Can you describe the donor's adult photo to me?
*Please note that this step is required even if you do not plan on shipping to or working with a medical professional to perform insemination procedures.
- Call us at 510.841.1858 to find out if your healthcare facility is already registered.
- If yes, go to STEP THREE.
- If your health care facility is not registered with TSBC, you can register them by having them complete our Medical Facility Registration form and submitting this with a copy of their state license OR a voided prescription. There is no fee for medical facility/practice registration.
- We can also let you know what medical professionals in your area are already registered with us.
- Complete the required Recipient Information Form
- Complete the required Recipient Informed Consent
- Complete the required Mutual Consent Form
- Have your doctor complete the Annual Medical Professional's Signature Form
- Mail, fax or email scanned copies of these forms. We cannot accept photographs (.jpeg) of these forms. The address, email address and fax number is at the top of EVERY form as well as under Contact/FIND US on the website. If applicable, include your doctor's signed Medical Professional Registration Form and copy of license/voided prescription.
- There is a one-time $100 non-refundable registration fee for all new recipients (payable by check, Discover, Visa, or MasterCard).
- It will take 3 to 5 business days to become registered once we receive your complete paperwork. You will know you have completed the process when you receive a Welcome Email from TSBC. You are now ready to place your first order.
- You can EXPEDITE your registration for an additional $100 and be registered within 1 business day (24 hours) from the time we receive all of your forms.
- If you are the partner of someone who is already registered with us and you, the partner, are now planning on trying to conceive using a TSBC donor, you do not need to pay the registration fee, but you do need to submit all required registration paperwork and be registered before using a TSBC Donor.

- Currently there is a vial shortage due to the pandemic and other factors beyond our control. This can result in donors selling out rapidly and not every recipient having the opportunity to purchase vials from their first choice donor. We do our best to have inventory for all interested recipients but that is not always possible.
- For donors who are releasing inventory at a future date, we can place a recipient on the donor's notification list. This does not guarantee access for purchase as all vials are sold on a first come, first served basis.
- All purchases are made over the phone with a TSBC staff person. Requests for vials or shipping/pick-up appointments that come via email or fax will not be honored as purchases and appointments can only be completed over the phone. Please do not send a Shipping/Pick Up Confirmation Form without first speaking with a staff member to schedule a pick up or shipment.
- Call us at least 7 days before your planned insemination to purchase donor sperm if picking up your vials. For shipping, call at least 7 days before you need to ship your vials as sometimes we are able to accommodate less notice, but there are also times that we get booked up further in advance for shipments. The more notice you can give, the better.
- Let us know the donor number and the quantity and type of vials you wish to purchase. Once purchased, vials can stay at TSBC until you are ready to retrieve them.
Please Note: If the donor you chose reaches their ten-family limit before you retrieve your purchased vials, we will not be able to release them to you. In this instance, we will refund the cost of the vials. In all other situations, vial purchases are nonrefundable.
- Please call us at 510.841.1858 to schedule your shipment or pick-up.
- All shipments and pick-ups are scheduled over the phone with a TSBC staff person. Requests for vials to be shipped that come via email or fax will not be accommodated.
- After you schedule your shipment or pick-up, complete and return the Shipping/Pick-up Order Confirmation Form (SOF) by fax or scan/email. Please do not send an SOF without first speaking with a staff member to schedule a pick up or shipment.
- You can set up your shipment or schedule a pick-up at the time of purchase or at a later time.
- If you plan to ship, call to set up your shipment at least one week before you need vials to ship.
- Same day pick-ups appointments: We cannot guarantee availability. Please plan ahead and schedule ahead. You can always change your appointment once you have made it.
- Same-day shipping requests: We cannot guarantee availability and will only accommodate on a case by case basis. If a same day shipment can be arranged additional fees will be charged.
- For international shipments, we must receive a signed International Shipping Agreement in addition to all other required documents before each order is shipped. (PLEASE NOTE: We are unfortunately unable to sell or ship sperm to the UK/EU/Canada/parts of Australia. All of these governments require that sperm donors register in a national registry by name. Because of this our Identity Release Program donors, whose identities are only accessible by donor conceived adults, do not comply with regulations. More information can be found here.)
- While placing your order, check the donor's inventory to decide if you want to purchase more vials for subsequent cycle attempts.
- We do not automatically place your name on a notification list or set aside more vials for you.
